What are the Main Reasons For Hair Loss?

January 16th, 2010

There are many reasons for hair loss. Hair loss could be due to stress, medication, hormonal imbalance etc. DHT and male pattern baldness are closely related to each other. The dihydrotestosterone has a very bad effect on the hair follicles, which slows down the growth of hair or stops hair growth completely.
The main cause of hair loss is stress. Stress and mental tension leads to hair loss. Male pattern hair loss is a genetic problem and is hereditary. Hormones like testosterone and DHT make the hair fall, you could even go bald completely. Bald people can regain hair through medication and surgery. Baldness is not a disease but it is a condition. A person could become bald any time, but the process of balding takes some time. First the hair becomes thin, then the hair starts falling, and slowly the hair growth stops which could lead to a bald head.
Hair care is very important for people who have hair loss problems. Male pattern hair loss is very common and if treated at an early stage it would be very beneficial. The reason for hair loss in men and women is different. Hair loss treatments help in aiding hair growth. Hair loss is a very difficult situation to handle and if left untreated then it could lead to a bald pate.
Your hair would be healthy and shiny if your internal body system functions properly. If you are having any illness then you could lose hair. Taking vitamins and minerals helps in hair growth.

Easy Weight Loss Solution to Eliminate Accumulated Toxins From Your Body

January 16th, 2010

The first time I was shown the photos of the disgusting plague or accumulated waste, I felt like throwing up. I couldn’t believe the accumulated waste matter encrusted on the lining of the walls of the intestines and colon is from any human’s body. Well, it is …

The accumulated waste on the walls of the intestines and colon when not eliminated, they will become toxins. Over time, the toxins may be absorbed into the system and may stress the organs of elimination which are the liver, kidneys, skin, and large intestine. When the liver and kidney can’t do the job properly and work efficiently, the toxins move around and around in both the lymph system and blood, slowly causing auto intoxication which then leads to various diseases such as weight gain, constipation, candida, acne, brain fog.

Bingo! My stomach bloats, my weight gains, I have constipation, bad breath, skin rashes, clogged sinuses, cold hands and feet …

The very first step to losing weight is to eliminate the disgusting plague and toxins from the body through colon cleansing.

There are many colon cleansing diets, programs or therapies that people use to eliminate the toxins from the body: fasting, healthy eating or lifestyle changes, colon hydrotherapy, detox program, colon cleansing treatment, and many more. Some experts convince you that home remedies or natural therapies work while others think that advanced clinical therapies or scientifically researched herbal and allopathic compounds available in capsule or tablet forms bring good results.

I was as confused as you are now. With so many diets, programs and therapies available, which is the best? In my opinion, each diet, program or therapy works. Just that, you must take care of the diet when you are undergoing or after you have undergone the fasting, detox program, or colon cleansing program.

As for me, I started with changing my bad eating habits. I have the habit of munching on junk food or processed foods while watching TV or managing my multiple niche blogs. I bet many working moms are like me, love eating burgers, deep fried chips, cakes, fatty foods, fried foods, and processed foods.

Does that mean I should eat no more burgers, fried chips, cakes, fatty foods? No way! I can’t give up yummy beef steak or double cheese burgers. Can you? Honestly, I can’t.

So what I do is cutting down on the quantity of the food first. Instead of eating 3 pieces of mocha cakes every day, I make it one piece of mocha cake every alternate day and munch on fresh fruits, vegetables or a handful of various nuts while watching TV or doing my online work. This way I don’t feel that I am deprived of yummy food.

To aid the process of colon cleansing or eliminating toxins from the body, drink more water, juice or lemonade. Lemonade is a great alternative to liquids. Staying away from all kinds of alcohol, coffee, fizzy drinks and sodas is no doubt easy for me.

The process of colon cleansing or eliminating toxins from your body is surprisingly easy to follow. Don’t be surprised while following the program or therapy, you lose 5 pounds in a week or 10 days.

Mind, Body, Spirit Healing vs. Traditional Psychotherapy/Psychoanalysis

January 16th, 2010

Author: Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD, MSW, CCH, CRT
Source: free-articles

The word “psychology” is the combination of two terms – study (ology) and soul (psyche), or mind. The derivation of the word from Latin gives it this clear and obvious meaning:

The study of the soul or mind.

This meaning has been altered over the years until today, this is not what the word means at all. The subject of psychology, as studied in colleges and universities, currently has very little relationship with the mind, and absolutely nothing to do with the soul or spirit.

It is important to understand that words and ideas are supposed to refer to something. “The tree in the yard” refers to an actual thing that can be seen, touched and experienced. A person walking a dog at dawn” refers to an actual event that can be seen, observed and experienced. The realm of mind is an actual realm that can be experienced, and at one time there were words that accurately referred to this realm.

Dictionaries define “Psyche” as:

1. The spirit or soul.

2. The human mind.

3. In psychoanalysis, the mind functioning as the center of thought, emotion, and behavior.

Dictionaries define “Soul” as:

1. The spiritual or immortal elements in a person.

2. A person’s mental or moral or emotional nature.

Traditional psychotherapy/ psychoanalysis fails to address the all-important relationship to one’s true spiritual nature.

Traditional spiritual practice often bypasses -and thus fails to transform – the psychological conditional patterns and unconscious beliefs that arise from our personal histories and adaptations.

In modern psychotherapy we treat symptoms because symptoms can be quantified and identified, or so it is claimed by traditional modern medical and psychiatric practices.

Thus Emotional Pain is described in terms of symptoms—Depression, Anger, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Self-Esteem issues, Mood Swings, Compulsive Behavior, Chronic and Acute Fear, Self-Injury, Suicidal Thoughts, Shame, Guilt, Eating Disorders, or Addictions) does not heal itself. Time, marriages, children, success, wealth, buying a bigger house, or faster car, changing jobs or relocating will not CURE it. The damage is sometimes very deep, pervasive and profound. It is a soul injury. The person has been robbed of his or her integrity, core identity and trust.

Emotional, Physical or Sexual trauma in childhood is ‘violence’ that does not require force. The child is thrown into a ‘state of shock.’ For some the memories remain conscious, while others drive them beneath the conscious level. The coping mechanisms the child used are carried into adulthood and impact the person’s life on every level—Emotional, Physical, Mental, Behavioral, Spiritual, Sexual and Relationships. While these coping mechanisms were appropriate then, they are a ‘problem’ in adulthood.

Traditional mental health professionals ask: “What is wrong with you?” or “What happened to you?” Asking, “What is wrong with you?” or “What happened to you?” implies blame, sickness and fault. Asking, “What did you experience growing up?”—allows the person to begin the process of discovering the source of their pain and healing the wounds.

Traditional psychotherapy/psychoanalysis neglects the fact that we feel, sense, and experience global political mass consciousness, as well as our individual consciousness, like never before. A Mind, Body, Spirit approach addresses all three, therefore opening the door to true balance and healing.

Well-being comes from the understanding of the Self, the family, the local community in which we live, and the global community of which we are part. We are each one heart of the Whole; each heart here to express its unique piece of the Whole. Knowing Self creates a sense of “I as a piece of this Whole,” different and one at the same time. The process of understanding the Self, the family, the local community and the global community has its foundation rooted in metaphysics.

Metaphysics is the science, which investigates first causes of all existence and knowledge. It seeks to explain the nature of being, the origin and structure of the world, in relationship between the ethereal and the physical. Metaphysics holds that the soul or spirit and the physical body are one yet separate; here the applied psychology of religion comes to bear. The metaphysician’s teachings help soothe the emotional and physical problems of youth and maturity, illness and death. Herein, a transformational process occurs between the work of the Facilitator and that of the individual. Because the metaphysician or doctor of metaphysics can serve as both a facilitator as well as a source of spiritual comfort, he or she espouses universal spirituality through holistic health.

Metaphysical Healing a.k.a. Transpersonal Healing is the process of reconnecting the person with their inner being. Reconnecting can be achieved through meditation, introspection and over time accessing our inner self, however, few people have the discipline, inclination or know how to affect this process. Therefore, employing the help of a professional who practices Mind, Body Spirit Healing/Transpersonal Healing will quickly establish the foundation for empowerment, self-esteem, peace of mind and on-going spiritual and emotional growth.

The facilitation of the process is exceedingly easy. The person sits in a slightly reclined position with eyes closed while the facilitator assists the person to access their “Higher self.” The “Higher self” refers to the part of you that has the highest possible perspective of who and what you are and why you decided to be here this lifetime. Your higher self loves you more than you can possibly love yourself consciously, and strives constantly to direct your personality self. The “personality self” is who we think we need to be in order to be safe here; the opinions and instincts of our personality self have developed since the moment we individualized in the womb, and perhaps before.

The higher self has somewhat of a higher perspective of our human “doings” here. This can be likened to a view of our life path and actions from a helicopter above us. This higher self is akin to our “soul self.” I like to call it the “all seeing self”…constantly moving us around on this chessboard of life. This soul self or “higher self” knows just exactly what we need to do at any moment and strives to tell us through such things as dreams and instincts. Connecting with this “higher self” consciously is very empowering. Working with this metaphysical principle is often called “transpersonal” because it transports us to a direct contact with the highest part of ourselves. Consciously connecting the higher self, the subconscious mind, and the conscious mind allows us to have a balanced and complete metaphysical healing. (The subconscious mind is the inductive computer that cannot deduct, but merely remembers all perceptions we have ever had, from any lifetime.)

Metaphysical and Mind, Body, Spirit Healing

In metaphysical healing, the Facilitator assists the person to connect with the three major parts of themselves—mind, body, spirit, and to go back to the inner child, or “child of the inner light.” All things came from light, so internally we are all light, no matter what camouflage (depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger, shame, guilt, sadness, eating disorders, substance abuse, etc.) we have adopted to keep our “inner child” safe. We ourselves often do not know any of this consciously, but when you learn it, and consciously give this “trilogy” our empowerment to act in our lives, amazing healing occurs. This is true spiritual healing.

We have many bodies that all empathize and work to help one another. The physical is the lowest or most “base” of these bodies, so that when these different bodies have problems that hurt us, they eventually show up in this body. Since all the bodies help each other by drawing attention to some special part of us, we cannot avoid dealing with a problem. The soul directs the attention there by running the “most powerful” emotional experience over and over again – at least vibrationally – so that we will eventually “get it” and look for the original cause…In this the soul reclaiming technique of looking for the damaged “inner child” becomes very important. This is because when we are hurt too badly we sort of “splinter off” or “cocoon” into the child we are at that moment of the most hurt and dis-empowered self. The person we are just continues on doing the best we can to grow and develop. When we become strong enough, the soul urge to become “whole ” again becomes empowered, seeks out the means by which we can “reclaim” this “inner child,” who seeks to help us become whole again.

Metaphysical healing is a very simple process, though its explanation is lengthy. We consciously know of this child part of us and it’s pain inside. Unfortunately, we are seldom given the tools with which to reclaim this part of us and unite this inner child with the person we have become now… This transpersonal healing is very complete, much easier and more efficient than you can believe, and wonderfully fulfilling. This is the original abandonment: when we separate off from ourselves because we simply are seeking to learn and grow and the lesson seems way too hard, we become “segmented off,” less powerful, and believe we have to be victims. We are all very powerful, incredible “beings of Light,” and it is time we took control of that loving power and help each other heal and recognize the beauty of all our “inner child self;” help them become reclaimed and we, therefore, become whole, healed, beautiful beings with a higher perspective of our true spiritual wholeness. Only then, can we accomplish what we have come here to do and recognize our soul’s real purpose for being here at this time.

The benefits of healing are all encompassing. In working with people for 23 years, I have learned, no matter how urgent or grim a person’s predicament seems to be, I know without doubt if they are WILLING to do the mental work of going within to release old beliefs, feelings, thought patterns and forgiving, anything can be healed. The belief that some issues or conditions are ‘incurable’ whether it is emotions or physical illness, which is so frightening to so many people, only means that the particular issue or condition cannot be cured by ‘outer’ methods and that the person needs to GO WITHIN to effect the healing. Whether the issue is anger, sadness, fear, guilt, shame, or humiliation there is a negative thought pattern that produces them—thus these consistent thinking patterns create our experiences. A condition can be as annoying as acne or as dreaded and frightening as the ‘C’ word—Cancer. By changing our thought patterns, we can change our experience, thus healing the condition. The issue or condition came from the inner trauma the person experienced and can be healed—never to return again. ###

Niche Marketing Means Different Things To Different People

January 15th, 2010

Author: Benn Brown
Source: articledashboard.com

The term niche marketing means different things to different people.Generally it is known to mean the developing of websites in sub mainstream market segments to profit from selling products, generating advertising revenue or other forms of website monetization.

Niche marketing is effective because it allows you to operate in markets that are less competitive meaning you have the potential as a new or seasoned marketer to capitalize on big opportunities with relative ease and far less cost.

Particularly for new marketers, niche marketing can be the key to riches because it allows you to compete on a level playing field. You don’t have to jump into the ring with the heavy weights, you can develop your skills in the junior divisions before moving into the big leagues.

If you pick the right niche you can build your site, extablish yourself as an expert, sell your own products, recommend other people’s products, the opportunities can be endless and good money can certainly be made.

The trouble is that as niche marketing grows in popularity, many of the markets we called niche markets are now not so nichey at all, they’re almost as bad as mainstream markets in terms of their competitiveness and difficulty to profit from.

The markets that spring to mind are things like acne, dog training, or anxiety. Markets like these, while they can still be profitable will not make the average web marketer alot of money at all. Even the more nichey versions, acne treatments, dog training videos or anxiety relief are difficult for most people to compete in and make money.

Then there’s the other extreme. You can go to the tiny tiny niches that get almost no search volume. You can find “long tail” keywords like ‘pug training schools in atlanta” or “acne treatments that work in 2 days”. The problem with these are, 1. that they often don’t get enough traffic and 2. they are so specific that even if you can drive traffic, there isn’t much you can do to serve those people except show them ads. Again this can be profitable if you know how to do it but it seems like there just has to be an easier way…

The niche marketers that really make the most money are those that know how to find the perfect balance between competition and search volume. Not only that but they know how to analyze the nature of a niche market to determine how much potential it really has before they enter it.

By doing this they find markets that can make them big money very quickly, faster than most people think possible.

Then when they do find markets they know how to make sites that will capitalize on them as effectively and efficiently as soon as possible. The result? Big profits, easily, and quickly.

There is no doubt that niche marketing although often a tricky game, can be wildly profitable when done right.

Eat Away Oily Skin

January 15th, 2010

Author: Louise Forrest
Source: articledashboard.com

There are many people out there who have oily skin. Oily skin can be a nuisance and it can also be embarrassing when its results become translated through acne and increased shine. Interestingly, there are things that you can change that go into your mouth that will effect what comes out through your skin. When most people hear the word diet, they draw back, but just think of the possibilities when you tweak your diet and it helps your entire aesthetic appeal.

We have all heard the myths throughout the years, things like do not eat chocolate and soda will cause acne. Then reports came out that said that junk food did not in fact cause you to have acne. However, junk food does cause you to have more oil in your skin. If you have oilier skin, you will be more susceptible to clogged pores, and clogged pores will produce acne. Therefore, try to limit your unhealthy snack choices such as chips, candy bars, and cola beverages.

There are some other things that you can try to decrease your oil levels in your skin. Try to make a food journal before you try to alter your eating habits. Take a moment and be truthful and write down everything that you eat for one week. After the week is done, go back and see how many fried and processed foods you have been eating. You may be surprised at how many times you heated up a frozen dinner, cut out vegetables entirely, and reach for the flavored drink instead of the water.

After you can see all of your good choices as well as your bad in black and white, try to take a couple weeks and eat healthier. You will be surprised at what the toxins in bad food do to your face. You should also never forget to stay as hydrated as possible, regardless of your skin type, but it will help to decrease the oil in your pores. When you drink a large amount of water throughout the day think of it as a detoxification technique. Water has the ability to literally flush out your system and clean your pores from the inside out.

Your diet should be plentiful when it comes to proteins and you should try to cut out as much sugar, fluids from food, and salt that you can. Fruits and leafy vegetables are very abundant in water, so if you can eat more of these, you can make up for any lost hydration during the day. If you are not taking a multivitamin, and you have oily skin, now is the time to start. The more balanced your body is with the right minerals and vitamins, the more clear your skin will become.

Vitamin B2s are important in maintaining the skin and they can be found in foods such as organ meats, beans, yeasts, jelly, grain, nuts, and wheat germ. Oils are not only found in the skin, but they are in plenty of foods, so you should avoid adding any unnecessary excess. If you stay away from things like fatty foods, processed foods, and pork, you can cut down on your oil. If you are cooking with a recipe that calls for oil, try using something lighter like olive oil.

Also, there is no need to lower your immune system when you have oily skin. Avoid alcohol as much as you can. When you drink, your immune system lowers and it is harder to fight off the dirt and bacteria that is getting trapped into your face by the extra oils.

Oily skin is not going to be completely fixed by what you do or do not eat. However, there is nothing that can be harmful about making healthier choices when it comes to your diet. If you can do everything that you can to make your skin clear why would you not want to? Make all of the right choices when it comes to your skin and your diet, and watch your self esteem rise while your face becomes more clear.

Skin Care – Collagen Injections – Lower Your Risks With the Right Doctor

January 14th, 2010

Author: A Aaronson
Source: ezinearticles.com

Collagen is a protein which is manufactured naturally in one’s body. It is fibrous and a connective tissue. It is found in bones, teeth, skin, cartilage and tendons. It directly contributes to the elasticity in one’s skin. As we age, the collagen production starts to slow down, which is why aging skin tends to not bounce back when stretched, ending up with excessive sags and droops.

Beginning in the 1980’s injectibles began to appear on the cosmetic surgical scene in order to minimize wrinkles. This is a technique which entails injecting syringes full of collagen into the skin. It may come from bovine (cow), porcine (pig) or human sources. All is purified before use.

Before a treatment, it is recommended that collagen be injected into a test site in order to ensure that the patient isn’t allergic to it. This is usually done one month prior to placing the injections in the facial area. Approximately 3% of the population has been found to be allergic to the injections.

Allergies are especially possible in those who have had allergic reactions to meat products or other environmental substances.

Collagen injections have been shown to ease crow’s feet wrinkling around the eyes, smile lines, cheek indentations and acne scars. They have also been used to redefine lip lines and to get rid of worry lines.

Like any medical procedure, there are always risks of complications. A word to the wise: the more reputable and experienced the physician is that administers this treatment, the less likely one is to have a bad result. Risks that may occur include:

- Bacterial infection which may turn into impetigo
- Allergic reaction which could show up as shortness of breath, hives or a rash
- Scarring
- Lumps
- Results that don’t last as long as expected
- Discoloration

Most of the time the results of having collagen injections are complication free, but one should be aware that they could occur and to be on the alert for them. Choosing a reputable, licensed physician to perform the procedure will greatly minimize risks. Some earmarks of a good physician include:

- He or she is licensed to perform medicine.
- He or she has been referred to you by a satisfied customer or your family physician.
- He or she has no complaints pending with the medical board.
- He or she has had an abundance of experience with this procedure and is happy to show off “before and after” photos of his or her patients.

Cleanse Your Intestines For Overall Digestive Health

January 14th, 2010

Author: Steven A Johnson

Intestinal cleansing is something that a lot of people want to learn about these days. This is because most of us have realized that the colon is not able to take of itself as easily when you’re not giving it the proper diet that it needs to function well. Did you know that your colon can contain up to 10 pounds of undigested food. Its foul and putrefied fecal matter trapped the intestinal tract of your body. This doesn’t sound very good does it?

These toxins left in your body are not doing anything good for your body. It can cause things like acne, bad breath, bloating, belching, constipation, diarrhea, allergies, fatigue, hair loss, decreased energy levels, heartburn, headache, gas, indigestion, insomnia, low sex drive, poor memory, weight gain, and trouble losing weight. That’s a lot of problems for your body. If you have more than 3 of these it may be time to do a cleansing for yourself.

Most illnesses are caused by unhealthy colons and digestive tracts. Colds, the flu, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, and allergies are all examples of diseases caused by excessive amounts of poor quality food combined with bad elimination. If not eliminated properly food can stay in the system for weeks, months or years damaging your system.

Cleansing is something that all of us should do from time to time. For those of us who eat a lot of fatty foods it should be done more often than others. Fiber and water are what the colon needs to take care itself. There are other things but these are the 2 main things. Things like fruits and vegetables will help clean the digestive system out as well as provide fiber in your diet.

Eating some lemon peel, which you can get in the form of a pill, will help clean out the intestines and get rid of any kind of stomach or colon inflammation you may have.
Drink a lot of water; this is a great way to detox the body. It’s something you should be drinking anyway but drinking more of it will flush any toxins out of the body. It’s the best and easiest way to clean out your system.

Most doctors will tell you that one bowel movement is enough and is normal. They are correct about it being normal but it is not healthy. Even if you are regular in how often you have a bowel movement it can still be damaging to your system to if you have less than one movement per meal. Fiber is critical for making bowel movements. The higher your intake of fiber the more bowel movements you will have. The more movements you have the less undigested foods sit in your colon and intestines. Cutting fast foods and processed foods out of you diet will help against food sitting in the digestive system.

Intestinal cleansing by Bell will help you cleanse you body of fat and toxins, your liver, your intestines, and your colon. It helps to regulate blood sugar imbalances that can cause weight gain. It has pancreatic enzymes, brome lain, okra, Turkish rhubarb, prickly cactus, java tea, marshmallow root, dandelion root, beetroot, and rosemary for you sense of over well being and cleansing needs.

Curcumin research is exploding right now as the scientific community discovers more and more incredible health benefits from it, but how does this affect you, and can you benefit also? Curcumin is the active ingredient of turmeric, a herb used for centuries in Chinese and Indian medicine to cure a vast array of ailments and diseases, but only recently coming to our attention in the West. One scientist described it as “one of the most perfect designer substances for fighting cancer.” It has been shown to induce the cancerous cells to kill themselves while leaving the healthy ones alone. Compare this to chemotherapy which kills the healthy cells too, and you can see what all the excitement is about in curcumin research. It appears that it can be of great benefit to sufferers of dementia, like Alzheimer’s by to helping to connect the neural pathways that can break down causing memory loss, in part due to its powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities. Other research has shown how it can protect the heart from disease and lower bad or LDL cholesterol levels, helping to keep the arteries clear and preventing strokes. It can also be very beneficial for the skin, in cases of psoriasis and acne, and enable the body to detoxify and eliminate the toxins from the body at an increased rate. There doesn’t seem that there is much it can’t do! And curcumin research is ongoing so we have many more benefits to look forward to. Taking preventative measures against potential disease is the best way to go, and you can enjoy the wonderful curcumin benefits by taking it as part of a high quality nutritional supplement as I do, so you get the benefits of other nutrients and from their interaction with each other.
